Adoption of the Third EU Maritime Safety Package

This circular provides information on the recent adoption in the EU on the eight legislative dossiers that constitute the Third Maritime Safety Package, with particular emphasis on the Directive on the Insurance of Shipowners for Maritime Claims, the Regulation on the Liability of Carriers of Passengers and their Luggage by Sea and the Amending Directive establishing a Community Vessel Traffic Monitoring and Information System.
