EU Directive with regard to the Prevention and Remedying of Environmental Damage (ELD)

This circular provides a summary of the key provisions and the fundamental principles of the Directive. Although the Directive requires EU Member States to give force of law to the Directive by 30 April 2007, some Member States have only recently done so.
