2009 International Group Conference for P&I Correspondents
The 2009 International Group Conference for P&I; Correspondents was held in Amsterdam on 27-29 September. The event was attended by 540 delegates from 97 countries. The Group Secretariat attended and gave presentations to the Conference on Club Letters of Undertaking, Confirmation of Entry and the Rotterdam Rules.

Guidelines published for Marine Casualty Claims
The International Group’s Salvage Committee have drafted new Guidelines jointly with the Joint Marine Claims Committee (JMCC) to help improve collaboration in the handling of shipping casualties. The protocol document seeks to promote more effective communication between the parties involved that will ensure the prompt deployment of emergency responses services to vessels in distress.
