Andrew was appointed Executive Officer of the International Group of P&I Clubs in February 2006. Andrew is responsible for co-ordination of the collective activities of the International Group member Clubs including the internal organisation of the Group activities, co-ordinating the formulation and development of Group policies, the operation of the Group large claims pooling and reinsurance arrangements and the representation of the Group at inter-industry, government and intergovernmental levels.
Andrew has twenty seven years’ experience as a practising maritime lawyer representing shipowner, charterer and insurer interests in all aspects of maritime activity and insurance and is former senior partner of London based international maritime law firm, Bentleys, Stokes and Lowless.
David has been a member of the Group Secretariat since July 2004 following a number of years representing the UK government at both the IMO and the IOPC Funds, and has completed a full time MBA during his time at the Group. David represents the Group at the IMO, IOPC Funds and in discussions with various governments on pollution, liability and compensation related matters and has responsibility for, amongst others, the Group’s Pollution, Claims co-operation and Confirmation of Entry subcommittees.
David has been a member of the Group Secretariat since October 2011 following over 20 years in the UK government, including representing the UK at both the IMO and the IOPC Funds. David has responsibility for, amongst others, the Group Bills of Lading, Regulatory Affairs and Compulsory Insurance subcommittees as well as covering matters relating to sanctions and the ILO Maritime Labour Convention.
Catherine has been a member of the Group Secretariat since November 2014 and was previously Head of Information Systems at ITOPF and more recently Head of the External Relations and Conference Department at the IOPC Funds. Catherine has an MBA and within the Group Secretariat is responsible for the Personal Injury, Occupational Diseases and Representation Subcommittees and the Pollution subcommittee’s Vessel Response Plan Working Group.
Lisa joined the Group Secretariat in September 2006, and is responsible for the day-to-day administration and operation of the Secretariat and the organisation of the Group meetings and in the coordination and preparation of Group budgets. Lisa is also closely involved in the development and administration of the Group P&I Qualification learning programme and examination processes, and in the administration of the Group Data Collection Portal.
Ian joined the Group Secretariat in February 2013, primarily to assist in the development of the Data Collection Portal. Prior to this, Ian worked in a software company testing insurance software and before that on a Lloyd’s Syndicate.
