The Group’s fundamental purpose remains preserving the Group’s pooling and reinsurance arrangements, which in turn enables Clubs to provide the exceptional and comprehensive cover required by shipowners. Going forward, the Group will continue to engage with all industry stakeholders on the major issues facing the industry and especially the concerns of our reinsurance partners and shipowners. These include regulatory changes, the application of sanctions, a better use of data to guide loss prevention and safety at sea as well as discussions over alternative fuels.”
